An alternative to Nacsport
Nacsport comes up often when a club looks for video analysis software. It is a serious tool, built for the analyst who codes every action of a match on a computer. Here is what its official website says, who it is made for, and how an amateur coach gets the essentials with a phone and a single app.
The information about Nacsport below comes from its official website, nacsport.com, consulted on 9 October 2026, with a link each time. It may have changed since. Check before you decide.
What Nacsport does
Nacsport is a range of five sports video analysis software packages: Basic, Basic+, Scout, Pro and Elite. According to the nacsport.com FAQ (consulted on 9 October 2026), all of them run on Windows and macOS since June 2023. The trial page states that it is not a mobile app: the software is used from a computer.
The principle is coding. The analyst prepares a window of buttons, one per type of action, and clicks while watching the match. Each click files the action in a timeline. According to the Basic page (consulted on 9 October 2026), the software also lets you draw on the video, produce charts and dashboards, export the data to Excel and build video presentations with music, transitions and slides.
Around the software, the brand offers three add-ons, again according to nacsport.com on 9 October 2026. Hub is an online platform for sharing analyses with coaches and players, with an iOS and Android app. Tag&view is an iPhone and iPad app that films and codes at the same time, then syncs the analysis with Nacsport on the computer. Live sends videos and data to the bench during the match.
What Nacsport does well, and for whom
Nacsport is made for detailed analysis, and the higher you go up the range, the further the coding goes. The Pro page advertises grouped buttons, up to three tag windows, automatically created lists and presentations, and three matches analysed at the same time. The Elite page adds heat maps, zone maps and live work by several analysts, with sending to the bench. The testimonials featured on these pages come from analysts at professional football and rugby clubs (pages consulted on 9 October 2026).
The Pro page presents it as "the ideal software for clubs and analysts with big ambitions". If your club has an analyst who spends several hours per match coding actions and producing statistics for the staff, it is a tool designed for them.
Nacsport licences, trial and price
What the FAQ says, unless stated otherwise, as of 9 October 2026:
- Two types of licence: lifetime, kept indefinitely, or annual, valid for 12 months with support and updates.
- With a lifetime licence, the support and update service (SUS) is an optional annual payment. Its page recommends it to stay compatible with operating system updates.
- A licence is active on only one computer at a time. To change machines, you deactivate it and then reactivate it, with an internet connection.
- The free trial lasts 30 days, with no obligation to buy, with all features. After that the software stops working and exported videos carry a watermark. Basic, Basic+ and Scout can be downloaded directly, while Pro and Elite are trialled on request.
- Prices are calculated per licence and per software: the current amount should be checked on nacsport.com or requested from Nacsport.
The kit you need to plan for
The software works on a video that first has to be filmed. The FAQ says so: to film and code a match live, you need a camera, and to code an existing video, you import it. Tag&view lets you film with an iPhone or an iPad, then the analysis continues on the computer.
The system requirements page (consulted on 9 October 2026) asks for at least, on Windows, Windows 10, 4 GB of memory and an Intel Core i5 processor, plus an NVENC-compatible NVIDIA graphics card for live video capture. On Mac, macOS Sonoma and an Apple M1 chip. In both cases, at least 256 GB of storage.
What an amateur coach needs
In an amateur club, the coach is often a volunteer, alone on the bench, with two training sessions a week and a match at the weekend. They do not have time to code every action of the match. They want four things:
- Film the match with what they already have, a phone.
- Keep the few actions to work on again.
- Comment on them and draw on them, to show what needs to change.
- Send them to the players concerned, who watch them on their phones.
An example. On Saturday, your winger loses three balls by trying to go alone instead of playing with the free teammate. On Monday, you want them to watch those three actions again on their phone, with an arrow towards the free teammate and a line of comment, before Tuesday's training session.
TactiCam: film, comment and share in a single app
TactiCam is built for that coach, in every sport filmed from the side of the pitch: football, basketball, handball, volleyball, rugby, hockey, floorball, water polo and others. The app runs on an iPhone or an Android phone, in the browser, with nothing to install from an app store. Let us go back over the four needs.
- Film with a phone. Placed on a tripod, the phone films the match or training session without a break, up to 4K, and a Marker button flags the moments to review. A second phone acts as a remote from the bench. No camera or graphics card to buy.
- Keep the actions. Clips arrive in the Video Room, sorted by session, with action tags, a status (good example, to fix, to show) and Team and Personal folders.
- Comment and draw. Slow motion down to a quarter of the speed, frame by frame, zoom, pen, arrows, circles, zones and timestamped comments. An annotation can pause playback at its exact moment, long enough to read it.
- Share with players. The clip goes out by secure link or by notification. The player watches it on their phone, sees what they need to fix and replies under the clip. "Viewed by" shows the coach who has watched it.
The Player account is free for life. Videos are hosted in Switzerland, on Infomaniak servers in Geneva, and protected under the Swiss data protection law (nLPD). The app speaks French, German, Italian, English and Spanish.
To go further, several phones can film the same match from different angles with Multicam, and the coach keeps the statistics and the season record in the same app. A video filmed with another camera can be imported (mp4, mov and common formats). And to keep an action without filming the whole match, Recall Mode keeps the seconds before a tap. The method for the coach alone on the bench is in filming a match on your own, and how to present the clips is in a video session with your players.
TactiCam price and trial
The Team plan costs 19 Swiss francs or 20 euros incl. VAT per month, or 190 francs (200 euros) incl. VAT per year with two months free, according to the price list on tacticam.app on 9 October 2026. The Club plan covers several teams with a club console and a single invoice, and the price per team goes down as the club adds more. No licence tied to a computer: the coach and the players log in from their own device.
The coach trial lasts 14 days, starts when the team is created and does not ask for a bank card. Nothing is charged automatically at the end. Without a subscription, the team goes read-only and all clips remain viewable.

How to choose
If your club has a video analyst who codes every match on a computer and prepares dashboards for the staff, Nacsport is made for that work. If the coach is the one who films, keeps a few actions and wants their players to see them the same evening on their phone, TactiCam does all of that in the same app, with no computer or camera to buy. The analyst role in an amateur club is described in becoming a video analyst in an amateur club.
The simplest way is to try it on your next match. Create the team, and the 14-day trial starts without a bank card. Invite two or three players, send them a commented clip and check in "Viewed by" whether they opened it.
